Role Objectives
- Group Responsibilities
- Engagement with Head of Treasury to ensure adherence and compliance to the Company policies and procedures with focus in relation to treasury functions conducted in Europe. This to be reviewed as required with changing business environment.
- Working with Head of Treasury for the development and execution of the Company funding strategies. This to include direct engagement with the Company Board and its subcommittees during internal approval processes.
- The management of reporting and compliance for all debt facilities that are associated with European funds in which the Company has an equity interest;
- Maintain all treasury-related platforms to be at all times current and accurate. These are the source of truth for all reporting, both Board and Management.
- Engagement with Head of Treasury to ensure cash held with all European funds in which the Company has an equity interest is maximised in terms cost and availability. This to be done in adherence to agreed processes with Tax, Legal and Fund Finance.
- Assisting in the development, management and continual review of Treasury Policy and associated infrastructure.
- Company’s European credit market expert understanding risk appetite and return expectations of participants including Banks, Debt Capital markets and other non-traditional capital sources.
- Funds Management Responsibilities:
- Applying credit market expertise to provide tailored treasury solutions to all prospective and existing European Funds Management products ensuring that the Company has the infrastructure, licensing and resourcing capability to deliver these obligations.
- Ensuring the Company fulfils its Treasury responsibilities within European Fund Management Agreements including:
- Negotiate and settle commercial terms and legal documentation
- Interest Rate and Currency Hedging strategies and subsequent execution
- Ongoing compliance ensuring timeliness, regulatory adherence (licensing) and internal infrastructures coordination (resourcing, platforms etc.)
- Cash Management optimisation in terms cost and availability. This to be in adherence to agreed processes with Tax, Legal and Accounting
- Execution of cash management
- Collaboration
- Leadership of the European Treasury Team with the management of workload, fostering engaged employees with well-developed OKRs and development plans and ensuring the team are motivated and engaged through regular formal and informal discussions
- Taking on the leadership/management role in Head of Treasury’s absence in assisting with the management of the Treasury team.
- Work with Finance to integrate process efficiencies with treasury related platforms and where required continued maintenance
- Assist the Company European Engine Owners to source bank work out mandates / transactions by relationships maintained as the Group’s European credit market expert
- Seek to establish any potential European equity capital relationships for the Company through relationships maintained as the Group’s European credit market expert

Role Requirements
Qualifications
- Master Degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA desirable
Relevant postgraduate qualification Professional Experience
- Demonstrated experience in treasury management either through direct roles or indirect responsibilities (ie banker to corporate treasury customers)
- Extensive experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses
- Experience of preparing financial schedules
- Experience of presenting and preparing proposals for new services
- Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking and financial instruments
- Experience of leading, coaching and developing staff
