The Role
For this position, the Business & Finance Associate or Analyst can (i) translate strategy into financials, as well as financials into strategy and (ii) take a view on both equity and debt-related topics. An active role during capital raising processes is foreseen.
You will be based at the company office in Amsterdam where you’ll join the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team. You will report to the Business & Finance Manager, while working closely together with other senior leaders of the Finance team, incl. the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Own and update financial models of relevance for shareholders and lenders as part of capital raising processes as well as for teams for planning and decision making purposes
- Support on preparing business plans, incl. critical reviews and scenario analyses
- Prepare presentations, other audience-specific deliverables and support during Q&A process
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses or information requests from shareholders, lenders and team
- Involvement on ad-hoc projects (e.g. update of transfer pricing, new acquisitions, etc.)
- Gathering information across the organisation and from different departments
Background:
- 2 – 5 years of relevant experience within finance restructuring / strategy / analysis / transaction related roles, preferably with client/external facing experience. The ideal candidate has experience in financial modelling and business analysis through prior roles in transaction service / debt advisory / restructuring teams of one of the Big Four
- Analytical multi-tasker, with a can-do attitude and ability to work with deadlines with little supervision
- You are an Excel and data management wizard – many say they are great at Excel, fewer truly are
- Powerpoint skills are considered a strong advantage
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, also under pressure
- You thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and international environment with various learning opportunities
- Fluency in English is essential + other EU languages. Italian speaking is a plus
