The company:

The company is a listed fund with approximately €8 billion of real estate assets under management. The Parisian team is looking to hire his Head of Investment & Disposal to manage the Acquisition & Disposition team. He/she will be required to work collaboratively with other colleagues based in Paris and other offices in Europe and Singapore. Some traveling will be required. The candidate will be based in Paris.

 

The role:

The Head of Investment & Disposal, France is responsible of investment and disposals with financial modelling, market/ due-diligence analysis and investment committee paper preparation for commercial property acquisitions and sales.

The Head of Investment & Disposal will source opportunities.

He/she will also liaise with the asset management and fund management teams.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently or in collaboration with the Head of France, source opportunities for acquisitions of real estate or portfolios,
  • Have a great knowledge of the market by both collecting data on the market and being able to skillfully interpret and analyze these figures,
  • Identify investment strategies and create strategic business plans for existing and potential clients in close collaboration with the Head of France and the Group Fund Management Team,
  • Perform investment analyzes and conduct evaluation and due diligence processes in close collaboration with various external and internal teams, such as fund management, asset management, transactions, Private Equity, studies notaries, law firms and technical managers,
  • Perform performance calculations in close collaboration with the London team which proposes models and presents quantified proposals to the Funds,
  • Develop and ensure the leadership of the Investment & Disposal team in France,
  • In relation with the Head of France, take charge of relations with Private Equity Partners (P.E. partners). Attend investor meetings, present offers in an appropriate form with the specific requirements of our P.E. partners, complete specific templates and produce reports on a regular basis,
  • Manage relationships with local clients and investors, as well as third party relationships with local real estate agents, banks, policy makers, etc,
  • Lead the sales process in accordance with the disposal strategy of each portfolio or mandate, in collaboration with Asset Management and the selected external advisers/brokers,
  • Perform performance calculation, attribution analysis and analysis (using investment performance monitoring tool),
  • Improve analysis methods, tools and reporting standards, ensuring an effective structure for internal and external relations,
  • Attend and participate in meetings/investment committees with European teams,
  • Ensure that investment information is timely, accurate and value-added and that appropriate and timely responses are made to identified cases,
  • Negotiate and interpret documents ranging from standard SPAs to complex legal documentation, ensuring that legal and regulatory obligations are met,
  • Keep abreast of developments and market trends in the real estate sector, the sector and the economy in which the assets are located,
  • Assist the Asset Management team on more complex valuation missions or on extension/development projects for assets under management.

 

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong academic credentials from a leading, internationally regarded university, engineering or business school,
  • A minimum of 5 years of real estate experience,
  • An advanced level of proficiency in excel in being able to create financial models with accuracy and with flexibility for different investment structures and real estate development strategies,
  • Strong knowledge in structuration,
  • Organization skills, curiosity, rigor, taste for analysis and precision, team spirit and adaptability,
  • Excellent attention to details and strong written/ verbal communication,
  • Skills in computing tools (Excel, Power Point and Word) required,
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, additional one European language is preferred.

  • Broad IT skills: office package with strong Excel modelling experience, valuations software is a strong plus,
  • Analytical understanding of commercial property with a sound commercial judgement,
