Our client is a Family Office investing in offices (mainly) and logistics assets across Europe and the US.
As an Acquisition Director, the individual will manage the real estate acquisitions and be a key contributor in the establishment of the Family Office in the United States. This is a diversified role that includes designing the investment strategy, sourcing new investment opportunities, analyzing new investment opportunities, negotiating and executing transactions, and managing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the real estate investment strategy of the company in the US;
- Source, underwrite, bid, negotiate and close real estate deals which fit the company requirements;
- Develop, expand and maintain external relationships with key market participants, investment sales, leasing brokers and lenders;
- Develop strong relationships with business partners;
- Executing the due diligence (legal, financial, commercial, technical etc.) and transaction execution for investments;
- Preparing investment memorandum, general marketing materials to formulate recommendation to investment board;
- Liaising and coordinating with other departments during the sourcing and execution process;
- Liaising with external partners including lenders, administrators, lawyers and tax advisors;
- Regularly travel to various markets for purposed of deal sourcing, evaluation, relationship building and obtaining market information;
- Identify appropriate financing strategies; evaluate financing proposals;
- Prepare and present investment memorandum, general marketing materials to formulate recommendation to investment board;
- Prepare and oversee all investment authorizations and assure that all financial, market and risk analysis is correct and accurate;
- Participating in implementing asset and property management strategies.
- Monitor and analyse economic, legal, political and market conditions within assigned areas.
- Act as a resource to junior members of the team and provide mentoring support and guidance as a means of demonstrating leadership awareness.
Requirements
- A strong track record in real estate acquisitions;
- Graduated from a top-tier business school, engineering school or university with outstanding academic qualifications;
- A proven experience in a leading real estate organization, private equity fund or investment bank;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken),
- Possesses strong knowledge of real estate, economics, finance, valuation, and private equity, financing, accounting and legal structures;
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in sourcing, underwriting and negotiating transactions;
- High degree of attention to detail and ease with numbers;
- Ability to autonomously prepare and present high-quality reports and presentations in an articulate manner to senior management;
- Report, Investment Memorandum and Teaser writing
