 The role will broadly involve:

  • Defining the development strategy;
  • Budgeting renovation and/or development projects;
  • Managing contractors to develop tenant improvement plans, CAPEX, specifications, construction budgets, and schedules
  • Reviewing work progress, prepare internal and external reports and sign-offs with a focus on optimization in terms of quality, timing and budget;
  • Preparing the tender strategy together with your team and select, negotiate and form contract partners including architects, technical advisers and construction partners;
  • Coordinate and align the needs of the operational team in the project;
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones;
  • Analyse, manage and mitigate risks;
  • Building and presenting financial models;
  • Overseeing third-party management.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • MSc or Bachelors of Science in Construction Management, Business, Architecture, Engineering (Civil or Structural)
  • Project management experience with a commercial general contractor, real estate owner, and/or owner’s representative preferred
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills;
  • Advanced project management skill-set;
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical abilities;
  • Excellent communication skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, good decision-making skills and an ability to perform under deadline pressure;
  • Must have a sound understanding of legal contracts, lease provisions and construction agreements;
  • Solid work ethic, self-motivated, positive, confident and committed professional;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Strong academic background (Real Estate, Engineering);
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in real estate development, construction and project management;
  • High-level proficiency on Microsoft Office.
