A well-backed and operational affordable housing platform is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead its next stage of expansion. With a proven concept, strong leadership support, and a substantial pipeline, the business is positioned to scale into one of the UK’s most impactful affordable housing providers.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to lead a platform with both traction and momentum in the affordable housing sector. The company has already demonstrated its capability with more than 800 units delivered or under management and now seeks a visionary CEO to spearhead its national growth strategy.
The incoming CEO will take ownership of a high-potential, mission-led business with access to capital, a committed shareholder group, and a strategic ambition to transform the affordable housing landscape across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic expansion of the platform, building on its current operational base and development pipeline.
- Lead all aspects of the business, including development, asset management, stakeholder engagement, operations, and team growth.
- Forge and strengthen partnerships with local authorities, housing associations, institutional funders, and community organisations.
- Build out the executive team and organisational structure to support long-term, scalable delivery.
- Maintain high standards of regulatory compliance, governance, and ESG performance.
- Champion innovation and sustainable practices in affordable housing delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Senior leadership experience in affordable housing, real estate development, or housing-related investment platforms.
- Deep knowledge of affordable housing models, planning and regulatory systems, and funding mechanisms.
- Proven ability to scale platforms or organisations through strategic leadership and operational excellence.
- Experience working with institutional investors, public-private partnerships, and joint ventures is highly desirable.
- Passion for social impact and a mission-aligned leadership style that blends commercial acumen with public purpose.
