Overview
- Opportunity to join a growing London based independent private equity / real estate investment and advisory business
- Hands-on exposure to manage a growing portfolio of residential and retail assets that fall into core + and value add strategies
- Report directly to the Asset Management Director
- Existing pan-European portfolio of assets
- Live pipeline of transactions in Western Europe
Key responsibilities
Assist the Asset Management Director, to maximize total return of asset while contributing in:
- implementing the leasing and renewal strategies which may include interacting with in place/prospect tenants and simulating the negotiations’ impacts
- drafting recommendations for board’s approval in case of identified opportunities to gain value or liquidity
- controlling costs while challenging local partners proposals on operating and capex measures
- monitoring buildings and tenants works
- taking part in the budgeting process
- monitoring and explaining discrepancies between Business Plan and Actuals
- demonstrating creativity to improve reporting tools
- updating on letting and transactional local markets
- tracking bank statements / expenses
Assist the Asset Management Director in coordinating partners and suppliers (Property and Facility Manager, lawyers, brokers, architects, valuators…)
Provide pre- and post-acquisition inputs and assistance in due diligence processes
Language, Experience, Personal
- Bi / Multi-lingual: English + Dutch (French or German as nice to have)
- Highly organised, excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Quantitative skills including creating and interpreting financial models in Excel
- 1 /3 years relevant experience within professional services, real estate fund or advisors
- Will suit entrepreneurially minded applicants with an appreciation and understanding of excellence
- Ability to work individually and as part of a high performing team
- Strong track record in real estate industry
- High level of proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and ideally Yardi or Argus
- Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree
