The company is a top-tier private equity firm investing in the Logistics sector.
As part of its strong development, the company seeks a Logistics Project, Construction development manager at Associate/VP level
The role
The primary responsibility of the role will be to manage existing assets and development projects in the logistics and industrial real estate sector throughout Europe with a primary focus on Germany. A proven track record of asset management results within this sector will be essential, ideally with leasing achievements and a deep understanding of occupational requirements for modern warehousing. Experience of ground-up development, extensive refurbishment and repositioning of distribution assets, both big box and smaller last-mile units, will be required. Experience within a real estate private equity investment environment would be beneficial.
The company key target German markets are Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible in Germany for:
- Asset managing existing investments
- Pro-active project management and delivery of development and refurbishment projects
- Seeking Investment Committee approval and overseeing capex deployment
- Managing tenant relationships
- Overseeing leasing negotiations
- Ensuring tenants are complying with the terms of their lease
- Market research
- Contributing to investment committee memoranda and deal underwriting
- Assisting with board reports as required
- Assisting with capital raising initiatives as required
- Delivery of required property management services and determining where outsourced solutions are necessary/desirable
The candidate:
The successful candidate will require the following:
- Degree level qualification
- 5+ years of relevant sector experience within the logistics and industrial real estate sector
- Experience of German markets and ideally European / International industrial real estate markets
- High energy and highly motivated outlook
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment
- Technical understanding of logistics construction and outsourcing relationships
- Microsoft office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Native German speaker
- The Role is based in Germany, ideally, Berlin, but will require occasional travel to London
