The Company operates across seven offices in Europe with over 100 employees combining a deep knowledge and experience with judgment and a reputation for execution and delivering to our investors. The Company currently manages more than €4bn in commercial real estate.
The Role
Key responsibilities (including key every day and occasional tasks, job outputs and process ownership, decision making authorities, internal/ external client responsibilities, responsibilities for team(s)…):
- To work very closely with CEO to enable stop / go decisions by creating deal structuring solutions and risk analysis modelling skills across Europe.
- To control and manage the analysts work-flow thereby assuring full support to the Capital Raising Team and also take a lead role in ensuring that transactions are processed for presentation to the Investment Committee by:
- Creating and maintaining analysis of deals and fund performance track record for investor and other stakeholder review
- Providing support to capital raising team and new investor due diligence
- Developing financial models to appraise prospective real estate investments
- Analysing financial attributes of new debt financing, re-financings and restructurings for existing portfolios and assets, as well as new acquisitions
- Preparing marketing material and presentations for the pitching of funds, acquisitions and company overviews
- Assisting in the creation of investment memoranda for acquisitions to be used by internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the analysts on structuring acquisitions and other finance-related transactions, applying appropriate risk assessment approaches and structuring skills, particularly where unusual considerations or types of transactions.
- Preparation of initial structuring proposal and risk assessment, and presentation to Investment Committee.
- To manage Acquisition Due Diligence:
- Manage Property sourcing/ Liaison with agents
- Manage and sourcing opportunities through property contacts and network
- Ensure Financial Modelling for property opportunities follow company standard and compliance
- Liaison with Legal and Finance teams for acquisitions
- Take the lead role in Due diligence for bidding and acquisition process from “start to finish”. When delegated still take active participation when necessary
- Facilitating the handover from Acquisitions to Asset Management for new properties
- Ensure team maintenance of property log
- Undertaking property inspections throughout Europe
- Report, Investment Memorandum and Teaser writing
- To Manage Investor Relations:
- Meeting investors to discuss opportunities
- Together with CEO liaising with requests from existing investors on French/European Portfolio
- Maintaining Investor relationships for future opportunities
Requirements:
Education: University degree qualified, preferably plus legal, finance, surveying or MBA qualification.
Level of expertise/experience: Graduate / MBA (legal, finance, quantitative subjects preferred), may hold professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, ACA). Experienced in corporate finance / investment banking skills across a variety of products including skills in cash-flow modelling, debt / capital markets, deal structures, tax and legal, due diligence. Experience of commercial real estate preferred, but not essential IF strong corporate finance background.
Knowledge of systems: Proficient in MS Office tools, esp. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Languages: Excellent spoken and written English, preferably with business competence in a further European language.
