The Fund Associate position is within The Company Europe’s fund management team in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will gain exposure to and work with all aspects of the real estate private equity business (fund management, asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, development, debt, capital raising, investor relations) and will work closely with the leadership group within The Company’s European platform. This position will be responsible for the daily analytic support and complex underwriting guidance for the fund management teams. The oversight of asset and portfolio analytics will require highly organized, extremely detail oriented, and self-motivated characteristics with an ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining complex financial models (i.e., Argus and Excel)
- Develop, maintain, and constantly improve fund model
- Maintain quarterly fund reporting metrics
- Provide necessary analysis for any ad-hoc reporting or fund analytics required by investors
- Run and manage internal and external valuations, maintain property valuation files
- Prepare annual operating expense analysis, annual capital expenditure analysis and provide explanations for variance reports
- Supporting Fund and Investor reporting
- Supporting the investment due diligence and market underwriting process. Creating internal and external meeting materials, including Investment Committee, and tenant/investor presentations
- Monitoring and reporting on capital availability
- Assisting finance team with debt compliance and debt financing deliverables
- Monitoring and improving model templates for acquisition, development, and asset management underwriting
- Drive performance through regular communication with leasing, asset & property management, accounting, and research teams to ascertain market intelligence and confirm underwriting assumptions, accuracy of fees, lease summaries, rent rolls, etc.

Qualifications
- Previous Financial or Fund Analyst experience and a proven track record of success in those roles
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills including an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Competence and practical experience using financials models, such as Argus.
- Familiarity with real estate valuation methods, lease financial analysis, investment underwriting. Ability to conceive and execute on bespoke investment and strategic analyses
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts concisely
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
- Positive attitude and a very strong work ethic
- Accurate under time pressure and exceptional attention to detail, highly organized and proactive

Education and/or Experience
- MSC/BA/BS Degree, majors in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Real Estate preferred
- 3-5 years of professional real estate experience; industrial real estate experience a plus
Work Environment
The position will work in a general office setting and may require travel, up to 20% of time annually, to remote office locations based on organizational/business needs.
