Company

The company is an established US real estate investment firm investing across Europe.

As an Investment Director, the individual will join the acquisition team and be a key contributor to the European expansion of the company in the Netherlands. This is a diversified role that includes sourcing new locations, analysing new investment and development opportunities, negotiating, executing transactions and managing team.

 

Candidate responsibilities:

  • Source, underwrite, bid, negotiate and close real estate deals which fit the company and clients’ requirements;
  • Develop, expand and maintain external relationships with key market participants, investment sales, leasing brokers and lenders;
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners;
  • Executing the due diligence (legal, financial, commercial, technical etc.) and transaction execution for investments;
  • Preparing investment memorandum, general marketing materials to formulate recommendation to investment board;
  • Liaising and coordinating with other departments during the sourcing and execution process (mostly development, legal, architecture and finance
  • teams);
  • Liaising with external partners including lenders, administrators, lawyers and tax advisors;
  • Act as a resource to junior members of the team and provide mentoring support and guidance as a means of demonstrating leadership awareness;

 

 Requirements:

  • Graduated from a top tier business school, engineering school or university with outstanding academic qualifications;
  • A proven experience in a leading real estate organization, private equity fund or investment bank;
  • International profile: Dutch native (ideally but not mandatory) and fluent in English (written and spoken),
  • Possesses strong knowledge of real estate, economics, finance, valuation, and private equity, financing, accounting and legal structures;
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in sourcing, underwriting and negotiating transactions;
  • High degree of attention to detail and ease with numbers;
  • Ability to autonomously prepare and present high-quality reports and presentations in an articulate manner to senior management;
