The Role
We are seeking a asset manager Senior Associate to join the European investment acquisitions team in London. This is a core investing role with a pan-European remit and direct exposure to senior investment leadership.
The Senior Associate is expected to take an active role in forming and defending investment views, identifying key risks and failure modes, and contributing meaningfully to investment decisions. Investment work is expected to stand up to direct challenge at investment committee level. While working closely with senior team members, the role requires developing independent judgment and operating with a high degree of ownership.
This position suits individuals who want responsibility early, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are motivated by building judgment through execution rather than relying on rigid process frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis, Judgment, and Execution
- Analyse and evaluate new real estate investment opportunities across European markets and sectors
- Build, own, and defend detailed financial models, including sensitivities, downside cases, debt structures, taxes, and joint-venture waterfalls
- Identify key risks, breakpoints, and downside scenarios and clearly articulate their impact on returns and capital preservation
- Translate analysis into clear investment views, including recommendations to proceed or decline
- Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, IC materials, and decision-support analyses
- Support transaction execution, including structuring, negotiation of commercial terms, and documentation
- Coordinate and challenge diligence workstreams across legal, commercial, technical, ESG, and tax advisors
- Ensure models and analyses withstand IC-level scrutiny and downside-led challenge
Strategic Sourcing and Market Thinking
- Contribute actively to thematic sourcing initiatives across logistics, residential, and related real asset strategies
- Develop market and asset-level perspectives to help prioritize deployment of time and capital
- Support feasibility analysis, screening, and early-stage underwriting of new ideas
- Participate in site visits and market assessments across European markets
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of four years of analytical experience in a real estate private equity firm, investment bank or comparable investment platform
- Very strong financial modelling and Excel skills; to be tested during the interview process
- Direct exposure to European real estate and value-add investment strategies
- Solid understanding of real estate fundamentals across multiple European markets
- Strong interest in using AI, technology, and automation to improve analysis and execution
- High standards, self-starting, and effective working both independently and within a team
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills; additional European languages a plus
