The Company

The company is a fast-paced hospitality group backed by committed equity and debt partners. It sources, develops, owns, and operates its hotels, and has secured a portfolio of over 20 locations with further expansion planned.

It is supported by strong institutional partners to fund the company’s continued growth.

In light of its past performance and future growth ambitions, the company is seeking a Director / Head of Asset-Light Strategy who can:

  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s asset-light growth model through the negotiation of lease agreements and management contracts with real estate partners
  • Align strategic objectives with financial and operational outcomes, ensuring that partnership structures support scalable and sustainable growth
  • Take a proactive role in identifying, structuring, and closing new opportunities across key markets, while optimizing existing agreements

The role will report directly to the CIO of the company.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations and execution of lease and management agreements across various European markets.
  • Develop, structure, and optimize deal terms to align with the company’s asset-light objectives and financial targets.
  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities with institutional landlords.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (development, legal, finance, asset management) and external stakeholders (operators, advisors, landlords).
  • Monitor market trends, legal frameworks, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on contract negotiation, and long-term strategic partnerships.

 

Profile Requirements

  • 7–8 years of experience minimum negotiating lease and/or management agreements in the hospitality or PBSA sectors across Europe.
  • Background with a major hotel or PBSA operator, or experience on the owner/landlord side handling operator relationships and deal structuring.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, contract negotiation, and operator dynamics.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as needed.
  • Remote working is supported, with the expectation of occasional travel to the company’s headquarters in Amsterdam.
